Growing up is never easy for anyone, but as a child I was a mess! Confused about who I was, I began my own search down the wrong path. As I became an adult the pressures of life became worse. I found myself wondering what my purpose in life was all about, if indeed there was even a purpose? I got involved in a lot of things that I thought would help me cope but instead of bringing comfort, they only brought sorrow, partying, alcohol, and drugs were a part of my teenage years which continued into my adulthood.
I never really knew much about God, but yet I learned Him and His judgement on my life. After years of torment, fear, deperession and bouts of suicide I found myself at a Salvation Army church meeting where the gospel was preached. I heard how Jesus, God's only Son, died on the cruel cross for my sins, rose from the dead to give me eternal life and that He is still alive today! It was then that I realized that God had a plan for my life and that He wanted me to know Him personally, as He does every person.
That evening, I accepted Christ into my life. He filled my heart with joy and a peace that I cannot explain. "He gave me beauty for ashes"! Every day I want to live for Him and proclaim how He has changed myhopelessness unto hope. He can do the same for you...
I realize no matter what life throws my way "He Understands My Tears." God is my refuge and my strength & He desires for you to know Him in a personal way too. He has great plans for your life if you will only invite Jesus Christ into your heart & life he will become your greatest friend. He will wipe away every tear from your eyes.
